Sessions are $150 - $250 based on intensity, length of session, diagnoses, and location of services.

Initial Intake Session- $250

90-minute session includes clinical assessment, goal setting 

and care plan

Length of Therapy Sessions

50-, 60- and 90-minute sessions

Modified Intensive Outpatient (IOP) is also an option-based 

on specific criteria

Kinship BHS Does NOT Accept Health Insurance

Kinship BHS does NOT participate in insurance panels; we are an out-of-network provider. We do NOT submit any information directly to insurance providers. We do offer a Superbill with information needed for you to submit to your insurance mental health provider for POSSIBLE reimbursement for sessions completed. We CANNOT guarantee that your insurance provider will accept documentation and provide you with reimbursement. Be sure to check with your insurance provider’s out-of-network benefits. 

Ultimately, not accepting insurance allows us to provide the highest quality of individualized care without the unnecessary oversight and predetermined set of rules outlined by an insurance company. Not accepting insurance also gives the client the choice in the care they seek out and receive. Choice of provider gives the client a more specific treatment tailored to their current life circumstances. We feel like these specific reasons give the client the best chance to get the type of care they NEED. 

By not accepting insurance, not having an office space, and our rates for therapy allows us to have a smaller caseload to best focus our attention on the client and their care. We are not bogged down with insurance paperwork, phone calls and emails to insurance panels which allows us to spend 100% of our time on therapeutic care and support. 

Good Faith Estimate

In compliance with the NO Surprises ACT (1/1/2022) healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their Federal rights and protection against “Surprise Billing.” We are required to provide prospective clients who do not have health insurance (or who are not using insurance) an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. 

In addition:

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. 
• You should receive your Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service. 
• If your bill is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

It is not feasible for a therapist to predict the exact number of sessions necessary for an individual at the commencement of therapy. The total cost of counseling services is contingent upon the number of sessions attended, individual circumstances, and the nature and extent of services provided.

This estimate is not a binding contract, and it does not compel you to acquire any listed services. Moreover, it does not encompass any counseling services rendered to you that are not explicitly identified here.
